The boutique with a personal touch
Elaine Curtis is an award winning, independently run, fashion retailer, based in Carlow. The Store is regularly featured in the Irish Press, on TV3’s fashion show “exposé” and in 2009 won the IMAGE Magazine ‘Boutique of the Year’ Award.
IPAG started working with Elaine Curtis in 2008, when she asked us to develop her basic, brochure website into a more professional and dynamic online presence. The new website was designed to give a “taste” of the eclectic selection of designer brands available in her designer store, and to encourage shoppers to visit her in Carlow.
Following 3 years of successful creative partnership, and seeing a continual increase in web-prompted in-store sales, Elaine and her team decided to further develop their online presence into a fully fledged eCommerce offering. The main objective was to provide an online shopping experience that echoes the same level of unique customer service received in-store.
In 2011, IPAG created Elaine’s new eCommerce website providing her with a tailor-made platform to sell her unique collection of designer labels to a global market. The new website also enables her to efficiently connect with all her customers using email and text alerts, along with integrated Facebook and Twitter feeds.
With the continuing development of her Online Shop, IPAG is enabling Elaine to increase her global sales; and she has seen a constant increase in in-store purchases generated from enquiries through her website.
Specific Website Features:
Content Management System:
By using our Webinabox™ Content Management System we can develop tailored administration screens to meet the exact specification of any client website requirements. Elaine and her staff have full control over the content of their website. This allows them to maintain different sections of their site and their ever-changing product catalogue, in-house.
Elaine’s website utilises the Webinabox™ eCommence module to sell clothes, shoes, jewellery, accessories and gift vouchers online. The product catalogue allows staff reviews and recommendations; sale and offer pricing; and the redemption of administrator-generated discount codes.
Payment Gateway Integration:
IPAG integrated the website with the Realex payment gateway system, using additional “3D Secure” fraud detection security, providing peace of mind for both the shop and the customers.
Using the Webinabox™ Banner management module, Elaine can upload any number and variety of new banners to promote Brands and Offers on the homepage of her website and link them into specific, relevant pages.
“We did not take the decision to develop an eCommerce website lightly. Effectively, it is a new business and one that we had very little knowledge of. Although we had an existing relationship with IPAG, we researched and received other quotes for this project. IPAG’s quote alone was the most detailed, thorough and professional.
Creatively, IPAG interpreted our brief and represented our business in a very simple and stylish way – hugely important for our industry. We found their team intuitive and the end result was achieved efficiently and without difficulty. Technically, the team produced a CMS system that is very easy to use; so much so, that all members of staff can use it. There is an impressive balance between ease-of-use and professional results.
We consider our eCommerce business a work in progress, and our requests for change and development have been met with effective & efficient solutions. As a client, this is of paramount importance to us and will continue to be.
We are extremely proud of our website; it is as user friendly to our customers as it is to us. We are happy to say that IPAG have designed a superior website for us which reflects our business perfectly.”
